Crick Good Neighbour Scheme

The Good Neighbour scheme supports people in need in the local community of Crick Parish in order to improve their quality of life. Other Good Neighbour schemes around the country have been set up to help people in a number of ways. It may be helping change light bulbs for someone elderly, or doing some gardening for someone who has been ill. It may be looking after a pet while someone is in hospital or doing some shopping for someone who is house-bound.

We are not a replacement for statutory services and we will not usually take on long term projects unless a volunteer decides that they wish to have an ongoing role.

Volunteers are unpaid but can be reimbursed for any relevant expenses. There is no minimum time commitment and there is also no requirement to agree to every request for volunteer time. We understand that people have busy lives (like us!)

We are supported by Crick Parish Council and by Daventry District Council at the moment, both financially and by helping us set up the scheme.

If you feel you can help in anyway, please get in touch via our Facebook page.
